DAY OF THE CRAWL

On Dec. 26, Kwanzaa Crawlers will start the day at the Kwanzaa Crawl Kick Off Ceremony. There are two different Kick-Off locations and two different Kick Off times. Please verify your team’s kick off info.

At the Kick Off Ceremony, you’ll:

  • Meet Your Team

  • Get your wristbands (for same day pick-up)

  • Sing the Black National Anthem

  • See a Kinara Lighting

  • Crawl Out with your team via subway or walk to the first stop on your crawl.

Marching out of a Brooklyn venue, a thousand Black people deep - singing and dancing in the streets and on the train - is the most epic way to kick Kwanzaa off!

MEET YOUR TEAM

& Pick Up Your Wristband (if you don’t have it already):

Meet your team and team leader at the kick off. Your team leader will have a big sign with your Team # on it. Here’s a guide to where you’re able to locate your team leader once you’re at the kick off location -- they’ll be easy to spot!

Get your wristband from your team leader, if you haven’t picked up already.

The team leader will lead you to all of the stops on your team’s route. All of the Kwanzaa Crawl team leaders are certified in turnt and will make sure you're singing and dancing to your favorite Black family cookout songs as you crawl along the way!
