BEFORE THE CRAWL
Starting at only $55. You don't have to ball to crawl.
SELECT A BAR. Choose your desired venue. This will be the FIRST STOP on the crawl route. (The next 2 stops will be determined by us and at the 4th stop, you can Crawl to a venue of your choice.)
CHOOSE ANY TEAM #. This will be your team for the entire crawl. If you want to crawl with your friends, make sure they choose your EXACT TEAM # too. You cannot switch teams mid-crawl.
PICK UP YOUR WRISTBAND(S) and your event guide before the event.
Pick up your wristbands and event guides at the Brooklyn Navy Yard Dec 16th, 17th, or 18th. Please bring a valid 21+ photo ID.
Know the Team # listed on your ticket and have your QR code ready to scan.
If you can’t make it to wristband pick up, you can have wristbands mailed directly to you via Priority Mail with tracking. Purchase shipping as an add-on via Eventbrite and we will mail your ticket for you. The deadline for shipping requests is Tuesday, Dec 12, 2023 at 10am.
DAY OF THE CRAWL
On the day of the event, meet up at the Kick-Off to connect with the rest of your team and to retrieve your Kwanzaa Crawl® map with your team’s route. From there, you’ll all crawl out to your first stop together. Please be on time, because you don’t want your team to leave without you.
Due to the large number of attendees, there will be several different locations. Crawlers will be notified of their team’s Kick-Off time/location in advance.
Be sure to arrive at the Kick-Off location at your designated time.
Once you get to the Kick-Off location, you’ll connect with the rest of your team by finding your team leader. Don’t worry! Your team leader will have a big sign with your Team # on it -- they’ll be easy to spot!
The team leader is your guide - and will lead you to all of the stops on your team’s route. All of the Kwanzaa Crawl® team leaders are certified in “turnt” and will make sure you're singing and dancing to your favorite Black family cookout songs as you crawl along the way!
Enjoy the experience! This event is about having fun and moving as one.
The principle for the first day of Kwanzaa is unity, so in the spirit of umoja--the team you start with is the team you end with.
